Genealogy Rubric

_______/70  RESEARCH  Students will receive one 25 pt score and one 45 pt in this area.  One will be given in middle of project, the other will be given at end.  Scores will be given based on completion of family tree and documents giving details about ancestors.  Information should include birth date and place of birth and death date and as much personal information as possible.  Example:  occupation, where lived, brothers and sisters, children,  achievements, stories and anecdotes about life.  Sources should also be included example census, family members, web sites

Students will receive 15 pts for successful presentation of their project.  They should describe their research and findings about their family.   Students should speak clearly and answer all questions as best they can.  Students will also receive a 15 pts for supporting visuals including family tree.  They may also bring pictures and artifacts and other resources to tell their family history.
